At Tomato Clocks, we take pride in the handcrafted nature of our productivity timers. Please read our returns policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Change of Mind Returns
We understand that sometimes a product may not be the right fit. If you change your mind, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a change-of-mind return:
- The item must be unused and in its original condition
- All original packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included
- The product must not show any signs of wear, damage, or modification
Please note:
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect
- Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable
- Refunds will be processed once the returned item has been received and inspected
Because of the bespoke nature and limited production runs of our hardware, we strongly encourage reviewing all product photos, specifications, and FAQs before making a purchase to ensure it meets your expectations—particularly regarding its aesthetic and analog characteristics.
2. Australian Consumer Law (Faulty Goods)
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
For minor failures, we reserve the right to repair the item within a reasonable timeframe instead of offering a refund.
3. Handcraftedness
Please note that our timers utilize genuine analog components. Slight variations in your product are considered part of the unique character of the device and are not classified as manufacturing faults.
4. How to Lodge a Warranty Claim
If you believe your timer has a genuine manufacturing fault, please contact us at contact@tomatoclocks.com within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your Order Number.
- Provide clear photos or a short video showing the functional defect.
- Once we verify the fault, we will provide instructions for returning the unit. We will cover the return shipping costs for items confirmed to be faulty.
5. Assessment & Processing
Once received, your unit will be inspected by our technician.
- If a major fault is confirmed, you may choose between a full refund to your original payment method or a replacement unit (subject to stock availability).
- If no fault is found, or if the damage is found to be caused by misuse (e.g., water damage or drops), the item will be returned to you at your expense.
6. EU Customers Withdrawal
You have the right to cancel this order within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire 14 days from the day you (or someone you nominate, other than the carrier) receives the goods. If your order contains multiple items delivered separately, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.
To exercise this right, you can submit a cancellation request through our withdrawal form with the form below — or notify us by any other clear written statement (e.g. email).
To meet the deadline, it's enough that you send your cancellation notice before the 14-day period expires.
If you cancel:
We will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (excluding any extra cost if you chose a non-standard delivery option), without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed of your decision to cancel.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless agreed otherwise, and at no extra cost to you.
We may withhold the refund until we've received the goods back, or you've provided proof of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.
You must send the goods back to us without undue delay and within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. You'll bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
You're only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what's necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and function.
